Hi and good day my name is Mohsin Khamis Al Balushi, I am the chairperson of the West Asia Petrochemical Summit- WAP.
It gives me a great pleasure to welcome you to the WAP—West Asia Petrochemical Summit, to be held in Muscat the capital city of our beautiful ancient and vibrant country, the Land of civilizations and opportunities – Sultanate of Oman, on 14 & 15 of January 2026, at OMAN Convention and Exhibition Centre.
WAP is a Summit that represents a premier platform for Industry leaders, Policymakers, Investors and technology innovators to come together and shape the future of the petrochemical sector across West Asia and beyond.
Over the course of these two days, we will delve into emerging trends, investment prospects, Sustainability transitions Digital transformation, and enhanced value-chain integration within petrochemicals refining, and downstream manufacturing.
In light of the global energy transition and regional ambitions for economic diversification, the WAP Summit offers a unique opportunity to engage in high-level dialogue on decarbonization, operational resilience, Circular economy adoption and strengthened public-private collaboration.
And through this message, I am honored to invite and encourage those who are interested and involved in the petrochemical sector in the West Asia region in particular and different regions of the world in general to participate in WAP Summit in order to actively, engage, exchange knowledge, and foster partnerships that will drive innovation optimize supply chains and ensure competitive growth for our industry in the years ahead.

Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre
The Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre is located in its own fully integrated precinct only four kilometers from Muscat International Airport. The design of the Centre ensures a flow of the meeting spaces to suit the most discerning conference and exhibition organizers. It also incorporates expansive concourse areas to enable ease of large delegations with floor to ceiling windows overlooking landscaped gardens and water features.
The Centre features two tiered auditoriums to seat 3,200 and 456, while the five exhibition halls feature 22,396 square meters of column-free exhibition space. Hall 1 acts as a multi-purpose space for plenary sessions, concerts, performances and gala dinners on a larger scale. Halls 1 & 2 combined can seat over 10,000 seated in theatre-style.
